Yo, T... I'm trying.. Going through some changes this past couple years and about to go through some more.. I still plan to get this back up and going, but I don't think it's going to be live radio anymore.. Live365.com is getting outragous in cost - and then my listeners still have to deal with 2 or 3 (of the same) annoying commercials rotating every 15 minutes. And if I didn't use them, the royalty rates I'd have to pay myself is through the roof...

So now, I'm thinking more in terms of podcasts now or something like that.. And maybe I'll be mixing instead.. I blew the dust off my turntables recently and they're ready to go...

I tell ya what.. I'm going to give myself a 3 month deadline to figure out how i'm going to do this. I definitely appreciate it when I get messages like this.. It kinda lights the fire under my butt and get me wanting to get this going again.

Grimm! Long time man..

Yep - I'm running shoutcast now for personal uses - basically streaming stuff from my house to my phone, and yes, it's totally free to set up, and even the bandwidth is cheap - but the royalties would kick my ass. With live365, they pay the royalties, and make it back up with instream ads, banner ads, and member subscriptions. My subscription was about 60/month. But if I have to cover royalties myself, it would cost a couple thousand / month or something close to that.. It's rediculous.. So, I might go back with live365 or something. still not sure yet.
